Breastfeeding Consultation

Breastfeeding Support

Introduction

Susan (Tototouch Director) is passionate about helping mothers to breastfeed and can help with issues concerning supply, positioning and attachment, babies not adequately gaining weight, sucking difficulties, transitioning premature babies from tube to breast and breastfeeding multiples to mention.

Comprehensive Support

Toto Touch provides comprehensive support to Moms, experiencing breastfeeding concerns, challenges and need support and clarifications.Breastfeeding is natural, but it is also a learned behavior. But, as with learning any new thing, breastfeeding takes time, practice and support for both mom and baby.

My Approach

Proper care and attention takes time. My unique individualized approach allows me to give families the right amount of time together so we can follow the natural flow of your baby’s rhythm. My goal is to provide personalized, clear and understandable evidence-based information with compassion while balancing physical and emotional considerations for each new family I am honored to work with. Many parents are referred to me by happy moms through word of mouth, pediatricians, obstetricians, midwives, doulas or other health care providers. I also enjoy a good partnership with a number of practitioners whom I can refer to for my clients who need assistance beyond Breastfeeding issues.

Each initial consultation begins with getting to know each other a bit.

My goal is always to uncover the root cause of the breastfeeding issue and make a targeted plan that works for you.

Why is Breastfeeding Important?

Breastfeeding is good for the mom and the baby – research shows it can reduce the risk of chronic disease for both. Breast milk is the safest, most nutrient-rich food for babies and can provide lifelong health benefits. Breastfeeding also enhances bonding and the social and emotional development of babies and children. On a larger scale, breastfeeding helps our communities be healthier places. It’s a green option that’s key to sustainable development and breastfeeding is affordable for all mothers and families.

Our Role

Protecting, promoting, and supporting breastfeeding

Available Session Options

I have three options for you to choose from namely :
  • An in-home ( I come to your home)
  • Phone call ( if you live further away)
  • Clinic visit consultation ( if you are flexible and okay with coming over).

Seeing you and your baby in person is the best way for all of us, as I am able to assess both the baby and the mom  and help and guide the Mom how to attach and latch on baby.
